General Rules
Touch to move rule applies
Tie Breaks (Group Stage)
Direct Encounter: If tied on points, compare the head-to-head results between tied players.
Number of Wins: If still tied, the player with the greater number of total wins in the group is ranked higher.
Time Control - 15 mins (no increment)
Player will lose if his/her time runs out.
All Participants must bring their Mobile Phone and install the Chess.com clock app for use during the event
All games will be supervised by the Arbiter. Players must follow the Arbiter’s instructions at all times.
Category A - Age Group 14 and Above

Total Players - 8
Format - Group Stage -> Knockout
Groups - 2 groups * 4 players each
Time Control - 15 mins (no increment)
Scoring: Win - 1 point, Draw - 0.5 point, Loss - 0 points
Group Stage (Total Matches: 6+6)
Round Robin within each group
Each Player Plays 3 games
KnockOut Stage:
Top 2 from each group
Qualified players progress to Semi-Finals-->Final
No third ranking game.
Illegal Moves:
First Illegal Move: Opponent receives - 2min
Second Illegal Move: Player loses the game (Applicable for Category A & Category B.)
Category B - Age Group 9 to 14
Category B - Age Group 9 to 14
Total Players - 10
Format - Group Stage -> Knockout
Groups - 2 groups * 5 players each
Time Control - 15 mins (no increment)
Scoring: Win - 1 point, Draw - 0.5 point, Loss - 0 points
Group Stage (Total Matches 10+10):
Round Robin within each group
Each Player Plays 4 games
KnockOut Stage:
Top 2 from each group
Qualified players progress to Semi-Finals-->Final
No third ranking game

First Illegal Move: Opponent receives - 2min
Second Illegal Move: Player loses the game (Applicable for Category A & Category B.)
Category C - Age Group under 9
Category C - Age Group under 9
Total Players - 4
Format - “Round Robin + Final”
Groups - Only 1 group
Time Control - 15 mins (no increment)
Scoring: Win - 1 point, Draw - 0.5 point, Loss - 0 points
Group Stage (Total 6 matches):
Round Robin within each group
Each Player Plays 3 games
Final
Top Two players will qualify for Finals
No third-ranking game

A player’s age will be calculated as on 06 December 2025, based strictly on completed years.
Category A:
Players who have completed 14 years (i.e., 13 years 365 days) or more.Category B:
Players who have completed 9 years (i.e., 8 years 365 days) but not yet completed 14 years.Category C:
Players who are 8 years 364 days or younger (i.e., have not yet completed 9 years).
